If you are anything like me, you try to get away from the toxins in everyday products. It’s crazy how many unnecessary nasties are added to our everyday skincare and makeup products.
While I love finding amazing natural skincare, I also love to DIY. I went on a DIY kick a couple of summers ago and went crazy making lip balm, sore throat rub, makeup remover, and deodorant. While the deodorant I whipped up back then wasn’t my favorite, I think I have finally perfected my recipe.
I already had all of the ingredients on hand, but if you aren’t a frequent DIY-er like, don’t worry I will link to where you can find everything!
This recipe uses coconut oil as a base which has great antibacterial properties. It also uses bentonite clay which detoxifies and draws out impurities, magnesium which helps prevent odor, and activated charcoal which absorbs wetness. I also added tea tree and lavender essential oils for their antibacterial properties.
